The neckline is finished with binding with a back vent secured by ties. This calf-length dress has two deep tucks around the hemline of both the skirt and sleeves as well as in-seam side pockets. The ¾-length sleeves have gathered ends finished with binding and ties.

Materials & Supplies

  • 4 cm (1 5/8”) bias binding, 390 cm (154”) *
  • Light or drapey fabrics: fusible interfacing, 5 cm (2”)

* Cut binding lengths from your fabric as suggested in the cutting plan, or use premade binding

Fabric suggestions

Choose a light to medium-weight, non-stretch fabric. Depending on the desired result, you can select either a low-drape fabric or a fabric with a little drape. Cotton, linen, Tencel and rayon shirtings or dress-weight fabrics are recommended. You can cut the binding from your fabric or choose a premade binding.
